Rebecca Sewell
As a former primary school teacher, Rebecca will be bringing experiences from both mediation and teaching in to her work in Norwich.
Rebecca brings experience as a teacher as well as mediation experience picked up in Essex and Cambridge.
Specialisms
In addition to mediation, Rebecca has also trained as restorative justice practitioner and works with Cambridge City Council on their neighbourhood dispute resolution scheme. This initiative aims to help neighbours work together to find meaningful resolutions to their disputes.
Training and employment background
Rebecca has completed her mediation training and portfolio in Essex where she was able to build experience in both child and financial meditation cases.
Before mediation Rebecca worked for almost 20 years as a primary school teacher.
Rebecca says:
"As a former primary school teacher, I have seen first-hand the effects of divorce and separation on children. And the good news is, it’s not all bad news. Children will inevitably experience some feelings of loss, grief and anger when their parents separate, but separation doesn’t have to have long-term negative consequences for children."
